You'll collaborate with clinical staff and community partners, advocating for clients and facilitating peer groups while maintaining professional boundaries and using trauma-informed practices.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CPRS certification required.
• Personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and trauma-informed practices.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing peer support.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals in recovery.
• Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans and wellness goals.
• Connect clients with community resources, support groups, and social services.
• Advocate for clients' needs within healthcare and social service systems.
• Document client interactions and progress in accordance with agency standards.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and peer support sessions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and partners for coordinated care.
