Job summary

Lexington County School District One is seeking a One to One Assistant, Special Education to support students with disabilities under IDEA. Under close supervision of a certified teacher, you will assist with instructional activities, behavior support, and daily living skills to help students reach their IEP goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, or 60 college credits, or an associate degree, or a ParaPro/ParaPathways score.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 60 college credits or an associate degree or higher.
• Passing score on ParaPro or ParaPathways assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the district mission and goals for student outcomes.
• Assist with instructional activities and IEP goals under teacher supervision.
• Provide individual or small-group support to students with disabilities.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living skills as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
