Job summary

UP Health System - Portage in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) OB to join our compassionate OB team. This part-time 0.6 FTE role covers 48 hours per pay period with 4 x 12‑hour Night/Day shifts (7-7), including Christmas Eve years and every 3rd weekend/holiday.

You will plan and document patient care, assist with activities of daily living, collaborate across disciplines, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS-HCP certification required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing; bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided accurately.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines and with transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Assesses education needs of patient/family and provides tailored teaching.
• Advocates for patient safety and well-being.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
