Job summary

UP Health System - Portage is seeking an OB RN to join our team. This part-time role offers 0.45 FTE (36 hours per pay period) with 3 x 12-hour night/day shifts. The schedule includes Christmas Eve years and every 3rd weekend and holiday to support our OB patients.

You will join a skilled OB team delivering high‑quality care, collaborating across disciplines, and advocating for patients and families while providing education and compassionate support in a busy maternity unit.

Qualifications

• Michigan RN license required or eligible for licensure
• BLS-HCP certification required
• One year medical-surgical experience
• OB experience or OB qualifications preferred
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care including medication administration and clinical treatments
• Documents patient care provided
• Monitors and communicates patient status to care team and family
• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Collaborates across disciplines for coordinated care and transfers
• Provides patient/family education tailored to age and culture
• Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being
• Performs other duties as assigned
