Job summary

Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School (APR) in Boston seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. You will develop standards-aligned instruction, write and implement IEPs, assess progress and collaborate with families and staff to promote equity and achievement.

Responsibilities include designing rigorous curricula, providing targeted interventions, ensuring test accommodations, and maintaining regular communication with caregivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MTEL license or eligibility stated.
• Massachusetts teaching license and SEI endorsement preferred.
• Experience in charter or diverse urban school settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead standards-aligned instruction and curriculum development.
• Write and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and report outcomes to families.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists and families to meet needs.
• Provide test accommodations and targeted interventions.
• Offer tutoring and office-hour supports for students.
