Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Mental Health Direct Support Professional in North Carolina. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health or substance use challenges, in community and residential settings.

Typical responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, transportation, and documenting care while following each person’s plan of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience preferred, or an associate’s degree with three years’ experience, or high school diploma/GED with five years’ experience in mental health or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to implement crisis management protocols and work with individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, transportation, and community integration.
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and participating in meaningful activities.
• Document care provided and follow plan of care; report incidents and changes promptly.
