Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a Life Skills Educator for adults with disabilities in Raleigh, NC. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a pay range of $17.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on education, experience, and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience in education or special education.
• Experience with individuals with IDD.
• Ability to lead structured lessons for small groups.
• Ability to adapt instruction for varying needs.
• Patient, creative, dependable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead skill-building lessons for adults with I/DD.
• Provide instruction to rotating small groups.
• Adapt activities for different abilities.
• Incorporate individual service plans into daily programming.
• Monitor progress and document engagement.
• Create a safe, organized learning environment.
• Collaborate with direct support staff for consistent programming.
• Support participants with personal care and mobility needs as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and training.
