Job summary

Lifespan is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate 1:1 care for people with disabilities in home and community settings in North Carolina. Training is provided, with shifts on weekday mornings and afternoons, and a firm $15/hour rate.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of two consecutive years.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.
• First Aid/CPR certification required (or training provided).

Responsibilities

• Teach skills to promote independence.
• Support community inclusion and integration.
• Mentor individuals to build social skills and relationships.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with meals preparation.
• Monitor and report health and safety objectives.
• Document activities using electronic health records.
• Provide transportation to designated sites.
