Job summary

Hireology is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home residential services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will work one-on-one with clients in their homes to help them reach their goals in the least restrictive setting.

Responsibilities include budgeting assistance, hygiene and household tasks, social activities, health and safety, and daily/quarterly progress documentation.

Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology and working with families, physicians, therapists, and pharmacists.
• Demonstrates organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to be flexible in a home-based environment.
• Completion of required training and certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Assist with budgeting and money management.
• Guide individuals with hygienic and household tasks.
• Engage individuals in social activities and community access.
• Support ADL/IADL completion.
• Ensure health and safety of individuals.
• Complete daily progress notes describing daily progress.
• Prepare quarterly reports on individual progress.
• Follow ISPs and outcomes/goals.
• Attend in-service training and biweekly supervision sessions.
• Maintain client confidentiality and secure documentation.
• Participate in physician appointments and assessments as needed.
