Job summary

Care In Minds LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Pennsylvania. DSPs empower clients to live self-directed lives by assisting with daily living skills and ISPs within ODP guidelines.

This is a meaningful role with direct, positive impact on clients and their communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must obtain and maintain PA clearances: PSP background check, Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI fingerprinting.
• Must complete ODP-required training (approx. 65 hours).
• Medication Administration certification (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support community integration and participation in recreational activities.
• Implement ISPs and document progress.
• Administer medications as prescribed and trained.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting.
• Communicate effectively with families, team members, and supervisors.
• Promote independence and self-advocacy skills.
