Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients in home care across Kentucky, coordinating with physicians to develop and implement therapy plans. You will assess function, document progress, and educate patients and families in therapy techniques within diverse home environments.

Qualifying candidates hold OT licensure, CPR, and a valid driver’s license with access to reliable transit.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the patient's functional status and CMS documentation needs; consults with physician to develop therapy plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment and changes to condition.
• Conducts assessments evaluating function using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy participation.
