Job summary

Sweetser in Lewiston is seeking a Family Support Specialist to join their Behavioral Health Home team. The ideal candidate will have lived experience as a caregiver for someone with severe emotional disturbance or developmental delays. Responsibilities include supporting families, facilitating community engagement, and participating in crisis intervention. A high school diploma is required; college experience is preferred. Full-time status includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a chance to work in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a caregiver for a child with severe emotional disturbance and/or developmental delay required.
• Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
• Customer service and/or other business experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support families in managing physical and behavioral health needs.
• Facilitate youth and family engagement within the program.
• Participate in crisis intervention and follow-up services.
• Facilitate transportation to medical appointments.
