Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking an Exceptional Student Education Teacher to join our team in a dynamic school setting. The role focuses on delivering inclusive education through individualized plans and close collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Special Education Certificate (FL DOE requirements).
• Experience with IEP writing, meetings, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate progress with staff and families about each student's progress and challenges.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them for administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student progress.
• Invite family members to participate in educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports quarterly.
• Coordinate with on-site therapist regarding behavioral issues.
• Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.
