Job summary

Aurora Staffing in partnership with Legacy Treatment Services seeks caring professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings across New Jersey. The role includes direct care, daily living assistance, and participation in ISP planning with a focus on inclusion.

There is a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours from Friday 11pm through Sunday 11pm. Benefits, ongoing training, and opportunities for career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Driver's license valid in their state of residence.
• One year of paid work experience.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or elderly preferred.
• Must pass background checks (CHRI) and state registry clearances.
• Must pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including health management, communication, meal planning, and personal care.
• Support development of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and participate in planning meetings.
• Complete required paperwork including logs and ISP data accurately.
• Follow Aurora Staffing policies and licensing standards and cooperate with regulatory staff.
• Administer medications as needed and monitor client safety and wellbeing.
• Engage clients in community activities and promote inclusion and friendships.
• Assist with transportation of clients in company vehicles and maintain records as assigned.

Lift 50 lbs

Certification in Crisis Management CPR

Vehicle operation

CHRI background check

N.J. DHS Central Registry clearance

CARI clearance
