Job summary

Chariton Valley Association (CVA), a Center for Human Services partner, is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Kirksville, MO. This part-time role covers weekends and evenings in residential ISL settings, promoting independence and community participation for individuals with disabilities.

The DSP will provide essential daily living support, assist with mobility and personal care, and help individuals access community resources while maintaining a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Mandatory trainings including CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration (Med Aide), and Universal Precautions to include CPR/First Aid and Level 1 Med-Aide.

Responsibilities

• Promote meaningful community integration for individuals in residential ISL settings.
• Assist in developing essential life skills and promote independence.
• Provide personalized physical and emotional support in a safe, clean home environment.
• Maintain daily logs and ensure safety and well-being of individuals served.
