Job summary

Center for Human Services - Missouri seeks a Part-Time Direct Support Professional for our Family & Community Supports (FCS) program in Kirksville, MO. You will empower individuals with disabilities to live independently by delivering quality, person-centered supports and promoting community involvement.

The role requires assisting with personal care, documentation, and occasionally transportation. Starting wage is $17.75 per hour, with benefits typical of CHS settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, preferred.
• Must have reliable form of communication.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and facilitate community connections and help individuals build meaningful relationships.
• Support independence by aiding skill development in self-help and self-advocacy; monitor progress toward goals.
• Provide physical and emotional support and maintain a safe, clean living environment including housekeeping duties.
