Job summary

Community Support Services of Missouri in Joplin, MO is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on, person-centered care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Evening and weekend availability is required to cover shifts and ensure consistent support.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, transportation, medication administration, and documenting care in accordance with ISP and BSP plans, while maintaining respect and dignity for

Qualifications

Confidence in interacting with individuals of all ages and with a variety of disabilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently and within a team atmosphere.
Flexibility in all areas.
Resourceful in accomplishing tasks and directives.

Responsibilities

Review and implement the Individualized Plan (ISP) and Behavior Support Plan (BSP).
Provide support with respect and dignity in a person-centered manner.
Commit to delivering quality services to individuals and their families.
Monitor individuals' physical and emotional health.
Follow CSS policies and procedures for all areas of care.
Submit required documentation by deadlines.
Maintain open, positive, person-centered communication with supervisors and stakeholders.
Attend all required trainings as scheduled.
Adhere to staffing rotation expectations per CSS policy.
Must transport individuals during scheduled hours.
