Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will assist with daily living activities and accompany individuals to appointments and community activities.

You will follow individualized care plans, document services per NJ DDD requirements, and maintain a safe, person-centered environment while communicating with families and the care

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but training is provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Ability to pass background checks and complete required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in their homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized where applicable.
• Document services provided accurately per NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families and care team about needs and progress.
