Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency seeks an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. You will provide hands-on daily living support, encourage independence, and promote social participation within ISP and BSP guidelines.

Ideal candidates have prior DSP or direct-care experience, reliable transportation, and a compassionate, dependable, and patient approach. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous DSP or direct-care experience required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs.
• Experience implementing Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
• Experience working with individuals with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights.
• Reliable personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
• Support individuals with ASD and other IDD.
• Follow ISPs and BSPs.
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities.
• Experienced – Previous DSP or direct-care experience required
