Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with IDD in their homes and communities.

As a DSP, you will build meaningful relationships, encourage independence, and help individuals reach their personal goals, while promoting safety, privacy, and dignity in daily life and community participation.

Qualifications

• Previous DSP experience required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Follow ISPs and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Protect individual privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Provide reliable transportation when required.
