Job summary

Atpeacehealth is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with experience to provide quality care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety, dignity, and well-being while documenting progress and coordinating with care teams. This role offers both full-time and part-time schedules and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional required.
• Experience supporting individuals with BSPs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and adaptable.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care.
• Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
