Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower clients with developmental disabilities, helping them maintain independence and participate in their communities. You will assist with daily living activities, implement ISPs, provide companionship, monitor health, and support job preparation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18+, valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid; prior DD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to ISPs aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and promote social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with job applications and training.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral plans as required.
