Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to lead independent lives in their communities.

You will assist with daily living, implement ISPs, provide companionship, and support health monitoring and transportation. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem options with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
• CPR and First Aid training certifications must be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
