Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist clients with daily living activities, help them achieve personal goals, and support inclusive community participation.

You will implement ISPs, provide companionship, monitor wellbeing per guidelines, help with transportation to appointments and outings, and document care accurately. Required: high school diploma or GED, 18+, driver’s license, CPR and First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Experience with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Hold a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Implement and monitor ISP goals for clients.
• Provide companionship and encourage social participation.
• Administer medications and monitor client health per guidelines.
• Coordinate transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavior support plans.
