Access Services in Colmar, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional to support attendees in a Vocational Day Program. You will assist with daily routines, personal care, and transportation, while promoting skill-building and community engagement.

The role requires background checks, a physical exam, and a clean driving record. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Community Participation Supports are funded within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year direct care experience preferred.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Community Participation Supports for DSP within six months of hire will be paid for and provided by Access Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, consistent support to individuals in the day program.
• Assist with personal care and meals as part of daily routines.
• Follow individualized support, behavioral, and health plans to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, skill-building, and participation in activities.
• Create a positive, respectful environment that promotes dignity and choice.
• Assist with transportation to and from programs and community activities.
• Document progress, behaviors, or incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate professionally with individuals, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
