Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, 37.5-hour/week role supports students from K through 12th grade, emphasizing accessible, inclusive learning and meaningful impact.

Qualified candidates will have a CA credential for DHH or be eligible, experience with DHH students, and strong collaboration skills with families and staff. 60-day posting window; compensation includes health benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.

Qualifications

• California credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligible to obtain.
• Experience or training in educational support for DHH students.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional style for diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customized instruction for DHH students across K-12 grades, adapting methods to support individual success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate accommodations and modifications.
• Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress.
• Consult with families and team members regarding best strategies and resources.
• Advocate for accessible resources and assistive technology as needed.
• Maintain records, participate in student evaluations, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
