Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Deaf/Hard of Hearing specialist to support students in an engaging educational environment. This full‑time contract runs ASAP through the school year and may require travel between locations.

The ideal candidate holds a state certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing educator, understands language development for DHH learners, and can support IEP meetings with effective accommodations. Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $45.00 per hour.

Qualifications

State certification as Deaf / Hard of Hearing educator or specialist.
Understanding of language development for DHH learners.
Experience with assistive listening devices and IEPs.
ASL proficiency preferred.
Strong collaboration with students, staff and families.
Willingness to travel between locations.
Experience in school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in individual and group settings.
Develop and adapt instructional materials for diverse communication needs.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for best practices.
Offer training to general educators on DHH accommodations and instructional strategies.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports student strengths.
Provide outreach to families to strengthen home-school partnership.
