Job summary

Dungarvin is hiring a Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to work with adults who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or other complex needs in Wisconsin. You’ll support daily living, community participation, and personal goals with compassion and respect.

This role offers meaningful, hands-on work with flexible schedules; wages start at $17/hour with $19/hour on weekends, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served.
• Willing to obtain background clearance during onboarding.
• Patient, dependable, and respectful with strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to adults with mental health, intellectual and developmental, and/or physical disabilities.
• Support people as they develop skills, pursue personal goals, and participate in their communities.
• Provide encouragement, mentoring, and guidance with daily activities and life skills.
• Help individuals maintain their comfort, safety, dignity, and independence.
• Support daily living activities including mobility, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, meals.
• Recognize and respond to behavioral or mental health needs.
• Use a calm, patient, and team-based approach in challenging situations.
• Attend community activities, appointments, social events, and outings.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with the people we support and teammates.
• Complete required documentation and training (Handle with Care).
