Job summary

South Washington County Schools invites applications for a Kids Club Paraprofessional - After School at Pine Hill Elementary School. The role supports Kids Club Supervisors, assists with lesson plans, supervises students, and helps create a safe, engaging after-school environment.

The position follows the school calendar, offers eligibility for a small hourly raise with Highly Qualified status, and includes benefits such as medical, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Sixty hours of relevant training in childcare.
• 1040 hours of prior experience working with children.
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
• First Aid CPR certification current or within 3 months of hire.
• Strong teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.
• Pass Paraprofessional fitness for duty tests.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and assist KC Supervisors with lesson plans and activities; lead program events.
• Promote children's mental, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Maintain safety, attendance counts, and environment monitoring; complete documentation.
• Model positive behavior and use SEL/Behavior strategies.
• Follow district policies, confidentiality, and inclusion practices; support accommodations.
• Prepare equipment and materials; set up/clean up; assist with meals and snacks.
