Job summary

South Washington County Schools is seeking a Kids Club Paraprofessional for the After School program at Grey Cloud Elementary School. The role supports instructional and supervisory activities for OST program children, assists with lesson implementation, and helps maintain a safe, positive environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrated teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Competencies as required by State of Minnesota, Federal government, and/or District 833.
• Proven teamwork, confidentiality, professionalism and communication skills.
• Ability to support the program and follow supervisor directions for student services.
• Models appropriate behavior and uses proper grammar; maintains a positive learning environment.
• Pass paraprofessional fitness for duty tests.
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
• Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist KC Supervisors with lesson implementations across activities and events.
• Support development of children’s physical, social, emotional and academic skills.
• Ensure safety and keep accurate attendance counts and documentation.
• Model positive behavior and use SEL strategies and PBIS as applicable.
• Follow district and KC policies, maintain confidentiality and inclusivity.
• Prepare materials and set up/cleanup, including meals and snacks when needed.
• Maintain professional communication with families and staff.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
