Job summary

South Washington County Schools is seeking a Substitute Kids Club Paraprofessional to support after-school and before-school programming across multiple elementary buildings. Daily hours vary by site, with AM shifts from roughly 6:30 to 9:15 and PM shifts from about 2:00 to 6:00.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with potential increases for Highly Qualified status. The pool posting remains open through April 2, 2027, with opportunities to work additional days and summer positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 hours of childcare training and 1040 hours of childcare experience preferred.
• Experience with behavioral management techniques is a plus.
• Ability to pass Paraprofessional fitness for duty tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist KC Supervisors with lesson plans and program activities.
• Support children's physical, social, and emotional development.
• Ensure safety and accurate attendance in OST programs.
• Model positive behavior and support SEL strategies.
• Follow district policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Prepare and set up activity spaces and materials.
