Job summary

Pellissippi State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in Electrical Engineering Technology to provide quality classroom and laboratory instruction. The role focuses on teaching, evaluating student learning, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

The candidate will teach as assigned, supervise student activities, manage course materials, and coordinate with department leadership to ensure access to equipment and textbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology or closely related field.
• Minimum of three years’ work experience in the Electrical Engineering Technology field.
• Experience teaching at the college level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach classes as assigned and per course descriptions and syllabi.
• Supervise study activities and student learning.
• Submit requests through department head for equipment, supplies, and texts.
• Evaluate students’ academic progress.
• Maintain knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
• Submit grades and perform other administrative duties as required.
• Schedule two office hours or provide a written plan for access to students when needed.
