Job summary

Pellissippi State Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Teacher Education. The position requires a Master’s degree or higher and substantial K-12 classroom teaching experience. The adjunct will teach a morning face-to-face class at Hardin Valley Campus for Fall 2026.

Responsibilities include planning, teaching, supervising students, and maintaining office hours. Applications are reviewed continuously; postings may close annually on January 31.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) or more years of classroom teaching experience in a K-12 public school is preferred.
• Adjunct will teach a face-to-face 8:30 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. Tuesday/Thursday course on the Hardin Valley Campus for Fall 2026.
• Master’s Degree or Higher.

Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching classes as assigned and per course syllabi.
• Supervising the study and learning activities of students.
• Requesting equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher.
• Evaluating the academic progress of students.
• Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
• Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties.
• Scheduling two office hours and communicating access plans if hours cannot be scheduled.
