Job summary

Premier Community Supports, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Florence, Oregon. You will provide person-centered care to individuals with IDD in home and community settings, helping them gain independence and participate fully in daily activities.

Responsibilities include building trusted relationships, promoting autonomy, assisting with daily living tasks, coordinating with families and care teams, supporting transportation, and ensuring safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six months of experience supporting adults and/or children with IDD, or one year with mental health conditions and challenging behaviors preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; accurate documentation required.
• Must complete criminal background check per Oregon rules; valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation duties.

Responsibilities

• Build a supportive, person-centered relationship with the individual and deliver care aligned with their ISP.
• Promote autonomy and choice; support rights and decisions.
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting) and household tasks.
• Collaborate with family and support team to achieve best outcomes.
• Facilitate community participation and plan/attend activities per preferences.
• Assist with budgeting, shopping, and meal preparation when needed.
• Administer medications with appropriate training; report health/behavior changes.
• Maintain documentation and comply with regulations; ensure safety and dignity.
