Job summary

Premier Community Supports, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist Individuals with IDD in their homes and the community in Monmouth, Oregon.

DSPs help individuals with daily living, promote independence, and document care while collaborating with families and the care team. The role offers flexible schedules, training, and growth within a compassionate, person-centered organization.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 6 months I/DD or 1 year caregiving experience.
• Pass criminal background check per Oregon state requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable vehicle if transportation duties apply.
• Smartphone access for documentation and timekeeping.
• Certified in CPR & First Aid (training provided if needed).
• Willingness to complete annually required training (24 hours).
• Comfort around animals.

Responsibilities

• Build a supportive, person-centered relationship with the individual and deliver care per ISP.
• Promote autonomy and help the individual exercise rights and make decisions.
• Assist with daily living activities and light household tasks.
• Collaborate with family and support team to achieve outcomes.
• Facilitate community participation and plan activities per preferences.
• Support budgeting, shopping and meal prep as needed.
• With training, administer or support medications per protocols.
• Identify or report changes in health or behavior and document appropriately.
• Provide transportation in a personal vehicle when required.
• Adapt to day/evening/night shifts and weekends as needed.
