Job summary

Lexington Public Schools (MA) Harrington Elementary School in Lexington, MA, seeks a part-time Specialized Instructional Assistant for the Developmental Learning Program (DLP). The role is 32.5 hours per week, non-exempt, with benefits per the LEA Unit C contract.

Immediate start; duties include tutoring, supporting DLP and mainstream classes, and implementing interventions, reporting to the building principal and special ed leadership.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School degree preferred for role.
• Ability to support students in DLP and mainstream classes.
• Experience with behavior and social-emotional supports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individual students under supervision and academic staff.
• Support students in DLP and mainstream classes.
• Implement social/emotional intervention plans as developed by the team.
• Provide coverage for staff and communicate student progress.
• Monitor attendance and maintain student files.
