Job summary

Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa is seeking an Employment/Vocational Training Coordinator to provide educational support for clients pursuing professional credentials and job training.

You will assess client education, work history, and career interests, guide education options, and help plan and deliver workshops, transportation support, and tutoring as needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• A BA or higher in a related field is required.
• Experience as an educator, case manager, advocate, mentor, or re-entry specialist is preferred.
• Familiarity with homeless issues and Florida education context is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments of client education, work experience, and career interests to tailor education plans.
• Meets with clients to mentor, tutor, and monitor progress and updates plans as needed.
• Plans, organizes, and delivers education/employment workshops in the community.
