Job summary

Copa Health is seeking an Employment Specialist II to provide Supported Employment Services for members pursuing community employment. You will work within SAMHSA principles, align with normalization and assist with coordinating meetings with a clinical team to share progress and concerns.

The role emphasizes ethical communication, case management with a 25+ caseload, and guiding individuals through entitlement information to support informed job decisions.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in the field of rehabilitation/employment services or experience working with individuals with behavioral, mental, developmental and/or physical challenges/disabilities (which may include life experience providing care for a family member.)
• Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire.
• TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually.
• Ability to meet Copa’s driver eligibility requirements. Must have reliable transportation (own personal vehicle) with proof of insurance, registration, and a clean MVR for 5 year

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental operations to comply with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, HIPAA and HITECH requirements.
• Coordinate information and contribute to the successful resolution of challenges; communicate with integrity and honesty to all team members.
• Demonstrate professional, respectful relationships with all agency departments, staff, board members, funding sources and the community.
• Engage members and establish trusting relationships toward competitive employment in community job settings.
• Carry a caseload of 25 or more depending on composition.
• Assist members in understanding how entitlements (SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, EBT, etc.) will affect employment opportunities.
