Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) is an ESOP company helping people with diverse skills find meaningful employment since 1982. As an Employment Specialist you will assist individuals in finding fulfilling work, developing career goals, and preparing for interviews.

You will also engage local businesses to create opportunities and coach clients at their job sites. Mileage reimbursement is provided for transportation to interviews.

Formación

• Experience in high‑touch customer service environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using MS Office and documenting notes in an electronic system.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

Career growth opportunities – potential selection into our Management Training Program for people who have the following experience:

• Management of a small team

Additional requirements include:

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday – Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device

Pay: $20-$23 per hour
