Job summary

Kaufman Dolowich LLP's San Francisco office seeks an Employment Partner to lead its Labor & Employment practice. The ideal candidate brings a strong defense background and strategic leadership to guide complex matters for a national client base.

You'll supervise attorneys and staff, handle wage-and-hour and class-action matters, and advise clients on risk management while expanding the firm's premier employment group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of employment litigation defense experience.
• Significant experience handling wage and hour matters and employment class actions.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and management experience.
• Strong litigation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience managing complex employment matters in Federal and State courts.
• Admission to practice in California required.
• Portable business welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of labor and employment defense litigation from inception through resolution
• Manage and supervise multiple attorneys and legal staff within a collaborative team environment
• Defend employers in a broad range of employment matters, including wage and hour disputes
• Single-plaintiff and class/collective actions
• Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims
• Conduct and oversee appearances in both Federal and State courts
• Represent clients in investigations and proceedings before the U.S. Department of Labor, EEOC, and state agencies
• Provide strategic counseling and risk management advice to clients on employment-related matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the practice group

T he San Francisco, CA office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an Employment Partner to join their Labor & Employment practice group.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney with a strong background in labor and employment defense litigation to step into a leadership role within a nationally recognized firm. The ideal candidate will bring strategic litigation experience, strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, and a commitment to exceptional client service. Portable business will be considered but is not required.

Base Salary Range $200k -$300k

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications.
