Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma with 8 years' experience in corporate legal dept or law firm.
• Associate's Degree with 4 years' experience in corporate legal dept or law firm.
• Bachelor's Degree with experience in corporate law.
• Paralegal certificate or state-designated paralegal certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an initial case assessment to identify and obtain relevant documents for defense of employment litigation and administrative charges.
• Coordinate, schedule and interview custodians and witnesses to verify facts.
• Draft a chronology of relevant facts, documents, witnesses and events for counsel.
• Gather, review, and organize information for discovery and early case assessment.
• Prepare initial draft responses to administrative agency requests for information or subpoenas.
• Act as a liaison between outside counsel, in-house counsel and internal business clients for document collection and data delivery.
• Assist in preparing presentations and briefings and conduct research.
• Compile information and prepare internal reports such as forecasts and project updates.
