Job summary

Lawson + Lawson LLP seeks an experienced employment litigation associate to handle cases from pleadings through discovery, including depositions, motion practice, hearings, and arbitration/trial. Significant responsibility and client contact.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of employment litigation experience, with excellent writing and communication skills, and a desire for work-life balance with flexible hours in a hybrid/remote setup (Oakland option).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and writing skills.

• 2–5 years of employment litigation experience.
• Experience with Relativity or similar E-discovery platforms required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word for pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of employment litigation from pleadings through discovery.
• Prepare discovery requests and review documents; take and defend depositions.
• Handle motion practice, hearings, and strategy development.
• Advise clients on employment-law issues.
• Interact with sophisticated corporate and executive-level clients.
