Job summary

JLG Lawyers in California seeks an Associate Attorney in Employment Litigation to help scale our practice, serving Californians facing discrimination, harassment, wage issues, and wrongful termination. You will manage cases end-to-end with support from a strong staff and advanced case management tools.

The role requires 4+ years in employment litigation, knowledge of CA procedures, and strong writing skills.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Knowledge of California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
• Experience with employment disputes including wrongful terminations, FEHA claims, labor code violations, PAGA and wage and hour claims.

Responsibilities

• Management of cases from pre-litigation through settlement, with staff and automated systems support.
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and defense counsel.
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.
