Job summary

JLG Lawyers is seeking an Associate Attorney in the Employment Litigation department to scale the firm’s employment practice for Californians facing discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful terminations. The role emphasizes collaboration within a Los Angeles office and growth opportunities in a thriving practice area.

Ideal candidates have at least four years of employment litigation experience, strong writing and research skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Knowledge of California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
• Experience with employment disputes including wrongful terminations, FEHA claims, labor code violations, PAGA and wage and hour claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from pre-litigation through settlement, with staff support.
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent research and writing skills required.
• Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and defense counsel.
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.
