Job summary

Crea Legal Search seeks a Labor & Employment Associate for its Boston office. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years’ experience in employment litigation, counseling, and traditional labor work, with a solid understanding of labor and employment law.

A JD from an accredited school and MA admission (or waiver) are required. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, advising clients on compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and assisting with investigations and negotiations.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience in employment litigation, counseling, and labor work.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for employment litigation cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on labor and employment matters, including compliance with laws/regulations.
• Assist with internal investigations into workplace misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
• Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions in employment disputes.
• Support Senior Attorneys in complex employment litigation, including trial prep and courtroom appearances.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• 2-6 years of comprehensive experience in employment litigation, employment counseling, and traditional labor work, demonstrating a strong understanding of labor and employment law intricacies.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Massachusetts bar, or the ability to waive in asap.

Duties:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for employment litigation cases.
• Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Assisting with internal investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
• Participating in negotiations and settlement discussions with opposing parties in employment disputes.
• Providing support to Senior Attorneys in complex employment litigation matters, including trial preparation and courtroom appearances.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $260,000 - $435,000
• Annual billable hours target of 1900.
