Job summary

BakerRipley is seeking an Employment and Human Services Associate in Houston to work within the TANF Choices program. You will assess participants' needs, set employment goals, and build customized Family Employment Plans to help families achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

You will provide hands-on career coaching, resume development, and job readiness guidance, while addressing barriers through coordinated services like transportation and child care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR at least six months of experience and transferrable skills may be substituted for each 15 hours of college credit up to two years OR four years of experience working at Workforce Solutions and a recommendation from current or most recent supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants' needs and identify employment goals.
• Create customized Family Employment Plans guiding toward meaningful careers.
• Provide hands-on career coaching including job search support and resume development.
• Offer job readiness guidance and address barriers through transportation and child care coordination.
• Collaborate with Texas Health and Human Services Commission, workforce teams, and community organizations to keep participants engaged and compliant.
