Job summary

BakerRipley is seeking an Employment and Human Services Associate to help families achieve stability through the TANF Choices program in Houston, TX. You will assess needs, set employment goals, and craft Family Employment Plans to guide participants toward meaningful careers.

You will deliver hands-on career coaching—job search, resume development, and job readiness guidance—while coordinating services like transportation and child care to overcome barriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6 months of experience with education substitution rules per 15 credit hours up to 2 years, or 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with career management and job search processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess participant needs and employment goals to create customized Family Employment Plans.
• Provide hands-on career coaching: job search support, resume development, and job readiness guidance.
• Address barriers through coordinated supportive services (transportation, child care).
• Collaborate with Texas HHSC, workforce teams, and community organizations to keep participants engaged and compliant.
