Job summary

GFT is seeking a senior employment lawyer to serve as a trusted advisor to HR and executive leadership on complex employment matters. The role involves translating federal, state, and cross‑border requirements into practical guidance and overseeing disputes and litigation strategies.

Responsibilities include advising on employee relations, performance management, terminations, and workforce planning; drafting and negotiating executive agreements, severance, and covenants; and delivering training

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
3–8 years of relevant employment law experience, preferably in law firm and in‑house.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and multi‑state employment laws.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted legal advisor to HR and business leadership on complex employment matters.
Translate evolving federal, state, and Canadian employment requirements into practical guidance.
Manage employment disputes, administrative charges, and litigation.
Advise on employee relations, performance management, terminations, and workforce planning.
