Job summary

Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies seeks a Job Coach to train individuals in work habits and skills. You will model professional behavior, interact with participants and employers, and support program goals with supervision from a Job Coach Supervisor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, six months related experience, basic computer literacy (Word/Access/Excel), and background clearances. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Six months with people with physical disabilities or older adults.
  • Computer literacy: Word, Access and Excel.
  • Clearances: Able to obtain required background checks (Act 151, state/federal).
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within program.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model for participants in work behaviors and social conduct.
  • Interact effectively with participants, employers, and community partners.
  • Promote a positive image of Goodwill at all times.
  • Respond with dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Complete Basic Employment Services Certificate within one year of hire.
  • Provide supervision and hands‑on training to participants.
  • Transport participants to and from job sites as directed.
  • Operate agency vehicles safely and in compliance with laws.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and participate in program reviews.
  • Document participant progress and communicate with Employment Specialists.
