AbleLight in Colorado seeks an Employment Specialist to expand our supported employment mission. You will act as a job coach, build a pipeline of business and clientele for employment services, and ensure documentation and compliance to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive in the community.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience, two years of relevant work with 6 months of IDD experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• Two years of relevant experience with 6 months of IDD experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships for employment opportunities.
• Identify secure new clients to receive employment services through AbleLight.
• Develop a pipeline of clients by partnering with School Districts for pre-employment transition services.
• Maintain communication with employers to remove barriers and support community integration.
• Coordinate with schools and colleges to promote pre-employment transition services.
• Maintain relationships with vocational rehabilitation and funding sources.
• Responsible for timely and thorough program documentation.
• Follow licensing regulations, agency policies, and protect individual rights.
• Observe, evaluate, and record job performance and make recommendations.
• All other duties assigned.
